Literacy with Mrs. Roselli:

Most assignments are due on May 31 as I have mentioned multiple times in class.  Multiple classes have been devoted to giving you the time to complete these assignments.  You need to go on Powerschool and check your assignments. If there is no grade next to an assignment either you haven't submitted it, I haven't corrected it yet, or I haven't assigned it yet.  You should know if you did an assignment and whether or not you submitted it. Please create a to-do list for yourself and get your work in by the deadline.

Let's have a fun June!

Please bring headphones or earbuds to literacy and social studies. They are needed for when we work in the computer lab on Fridays and will be recorded as a Powerschool grade each Friday whether we need them or not.

Our school is not able to use bluetooth earphones.

End of Year Lexile Goal is approx. 1050. Students are encouraged to read books in the range 100 points below and 100 points above their current Lexile.

(If an assignment says "if not done", that means class time was given, but, for some reason, the assignment was not completed during that time.)

EVERY Friday bring in headphones or earbuds for homework

All Special Interest projects due May 31 to schedule presentations

Mandatory Book Bingo Sheet - May 27
Google Classroom Genre Reading Log Sheet June 7
Vocab. Presentation  #2  June 6
Company Letter #3 - June 7

Reading Logs are collected every Tuesday.  If there is no school on a Tuesday, reading logs will be collected on Wednesday.  If a student is ill on a Tuesday, the student must bring in the log on Wednesday and independently present it for full credit.  (In other words, I won't ask the student for the log)  Any student who forgets the reading log on Tuesday is eligible to submit it on Wednesday for 1/2 credit and must do so independently.  Past Reading Logs may not be "made up" as the purpose is to develop lifelong readers.

Read 4x20/log

NOTE: Read for 20 minutes - some students may want to read for 100 minutes in one night. This does not fulfill the weekly requirement as the homework is for students to read for 20 minutes on 4 different nights. Credit will not be given if the requirement is not met in the correct fashion.  Keep all old logs to complete required reading list for the year.

May 31 - All textbook review questions due
